We have recently added the
XTENDA Intermediate Transomfamily of products to our product range. These all steel units are suitable for use within:
and
enable easy alterations to the inside cantilevered
platforms without need to loosen fittings or move
tubes. High load bearing capacity, in excess of
5.0kN/m2. |
| Runway system |
Following succesful deployment on a major UK project,
we have now included a new integrated anti-uplift Runway
system into our standard product range. This system
comprising of:
![]() is used to form mobile temporay roofs or to
enable easy erection / dismantle of
roofing/scaffolding structures from one end. A Unique
feature of this system is the permanent integrated
uplift which enables large span roofs to be opened
and closed by non-specialised operatives. |

To allow works to progress
quickly and to ensure that the permanent occupants of
this historic building were protected from the
elements UBIX roofing has been specified and used on
this major re-furbishment project. The main works
involve adding another floor to the existing
building. The main contactor required openings within
the temporary roof structure that could be opened and
closed with ease in minimum time by non-specialist
employees. ASP designed, manufactured and implemented
an integrated anti uplift rail system on each of the
three roofing elevations. Each 10m section of roof
can be opened and closed within 1 minute, allowing
crane access for buiding materials and minimising any
chance of water ingress in the event of sudden rain.
This roof was supplied by Generation
UK Limted and erected by Area
Scaffolding&Systems Limited. |

Following the blast at Buncefield
Oil Depot, the Orange Hutchinson 3G building was
significantly damaged. In order to effect the
necessary repairs to the structure and state of the
art electrical plant it was essential to completely
encase the building to protect it from any water
ingress and inclement weather. The building was 60.0
wide x 60.0m long. The brief from the client was to
construct a roof that completely spanned the
building. To support the 60.0m span temporary roof at
mid span, ASP worked together with the scaffold
contractor in developing a structural steel stub
column mounted onto the existing building column
heads. In turn these column heads supported a 65.0m
long heavy-duty spine beam. UBIX roof was
subsequently erected between the perimeter scaffolds
and the mid point spine beam. This roof was supplied
by ASP and erected by EA
Scaffolding&Systems Limited. A 4-man team
erected 3844m.sq of roof, with the use of a mobile
crane in 5 days. |

ASP UBIX roofing utilising ASP
Specialist series beams has been used to great effect
to cover an existing building due for refurbishment
at this large development site. Erected to an
internal span of 38m this roof was installed in under
1 week without the use of a crane. Working from a
table lift erected at one end of the project the roof
was assembled progressivly by connecting additional
beam lines to an intial assembled bay and then
pushing out from one end only. The overall roof size
is 40x50m and was pushed by hand from one end only.
This roof was erected by Palmers Scaffolding,
Aldershot and supplied on hire by GENERATION
UK LIMITED. |

Whitley Court...........
|
|
The ASP UBIX temporary roofing
system has recently been used to cover the famous
Perseus and Adromodus fountain at Whitley Court,
Birmingham and the historical home of the former Earl
of Dudley. To protect this ancient monument from the
vagaries of the British weather during refurbishment
ASP UBIX roofing was used to a mighty span of 43m.
This roof was erected by EA Scaffolding and Systems,
Luton. |
